Take her to the vet.
My guess is either mange or ringworm…the only way to diagnose and treat those would be to go to the vet. They can scrape the area and look at it under a microscope, or they may use a blacklight to look for ringworm. It could even be allergies, but you need to consult a vet- there is no way you can treat any of those by yourself.
I don’t know what that is, but I can tell you this:
If I saw that on my own pet, I wouldn’t hesitate getting it checked out by a vet.
It doesn’t really look like mange. Does she chew on the spots and pull the hair out? My aunt had a dog that was allergic to the corn in the dog food, and it looked a lot like that.
I don’t know.It could be ringworm, mange,an allergy..You just need to take her to the vet.
it is hard to say please get her to the vet ASAP
my uneducated guess would be red mange. if you will search red mange you can get lots of info and pics and how to treat
She needs her nails trimmed, firstly.
It could be any number of things.
Ranging from mange, dermatitis, a flea allergy, an allergy to her food or shampoo, or an allergy to a new pet introduced into the house, or something as small as an allergy to the new air freshener in the house.
I’d get her into the vet as soon as you can.
Stop her from scratching it (until you get her to the vet). Clip her claws, buy baby socks (four) and put them on her. Wrap a thin layer of tape around each of the socks so they don’t fall off, but so they can’t cut circulation off.
If you have other pets, and this is dermatitis or mange, she could spread it to them as well. Stop them from playing or sharing bedding.
I’m no vet (but I did say at a Holiday Inn Express last night. lol) but as someone who has owned numerous dogs and worked for a pet rescue for years it sure looks like Ringworm to me.
It’s easily treated but should be seen by a Vet since it can be hard to get rid of and can also transfer to people.
It might be ringworm, which is a fungus they can get. The usual symptom is a round hairless lesion. The characteristic “ring” that we see on humans doesn’t always appear as a ring on dogs. This lesion will grow in size and often become irregular in shape.
The fungi cause the hair shafts to break off and this results in patches of hair loss. Ringworm are commonly found on the face, ears, tail and paws. The lesions are scaly and may or may not be itchy and often the skin is reddened and inflamed. Best to take him to the vet to find out what is wrong and have it treated.
Please get off Yahoo Answers and get her to the vet. My guess is ringworm.
uh oh.i have daxie, so please,go to the vet!I love daxies, but some bloodlines have sensitive skin and allergies.
the vet must do a skin scraping, to see if this may be demodex(its a mite and daxies have a tendency to have it)\demodex is simple to treat, but, you must go to vet, to get the meds for it(ivomec)
Looks like a parasite or fungal infection of some sort, get her to the vet IMMEDIATELY for treatment.
ringworm. hopefully you haven’t caught it too! and while at the vets have them trim her nails. they charge like 5 bucks.
Allergy I should think.. check for fleas as they often bite themselves and remove hair.. that much hair loss they should be throwing up hair..
My dog has a flea allergy and this happens if she even gets one.. Wash them with oatmeal wash them give them a flea liquid.
your dog probly has mange……my dog had mange and we put this medicine on it its called nu-stock you can find it on eBay for like 15 dollars it heals it really fast it works great. take your dog to the vet but if they say it has mange get up and leave!! do not let them talk you into getting it dipped!!! dogs die from getting dipped!!! just get the medicine I told you above I promise it works!!! and it even grows the hair back!! let me know who every thing works(:
